Sarah Chapman has lived in Vacaville’s District 4 for over 30 years. She has decades of public service experience as a School Board Trustee and as the President of the Solano Community College Governing Board. Sarah is running to make sure District 4 has a seat at the table and the needs of our residents, most importantly our children are met. Sarah is a leader who listens and will be your voice on the Vacaville City Council.
Sarah has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Accounting, a Master’s Degree in Public Administration and a Ph.D. in Public Policy and Administration. Before starting her career in academics, Sarah worked for decades as a journeyman machinist and Shipbulider at Mare Island.
Sarah has worn many hats during her 43 years residing in Vacaville. Whether in her job as a machinist at a naval shipyard, or her community service, or within her professional area of public policy, Sarah’s training and work/life experiences have afforded her the knowledge, the ability and the confidence to make tough decisions that benefit all.
Serving is about the people and what is in their best interest. It is about an on-going pursuit of a quality of life for all. Therefore, it is Sarah’s desire to receive and respect the diverse opinions of residents needed to cultivate a community of trust and prosperity.
Sarah is excited to have this opportunity to represent District 4. If elected, I will continue the positive efforts that are now in place and vigorously address the areas of need identified by the residents of the district and Vacaville as a whole.
Vacaville’s District 4 neighborhoods and residents have been left behind for far too long. We have some of the worst streets, highest crime rates and lowest concentrations of Parks and Recreation amenities in the City. Sarah will be a strong voice at the table to represent the needs of District 4 and fight for our fair share.
Sarah sees a Vacaville where any family, no matter where they live can find safe and affordable housing, they can get a good local job without a commute and their children have ample access to safe parks, quality schools and the things our children need to thrive.
By working with the community, our city, our schools and local churches and non-profits, we can build a better District 4 and a better city.
Sarah has spent the last 30 years advocating for Vacaville Children and Families. Her ongoing advocacy and works with local schools give her deep insight into what our children need to thrive. We are honored to have the endorsement of the Vacaville Teacher's Association.
Sarah has been a longtime supporter of the working men and women of Vacaville. She has spent decades supporting labor and fair labor practices. Sarah spent her early career as a millwright and shipbuilders and is honored to have the endorsement of the Napa Solano Central Labor Council.
Incumbent Vacaville City Councilman Nolan Sullivan will be leaving his seat in District 4 in December 2022. Nolan is personally endorsing Sarah as his replacement on the Vacaville City Council. Nolan knows Sarah has the experience, heart and vision to represent D4. We are honored to have Councilmen Sullivan's support
